I am honored and privileged to represent District 5 on the Howard County Council.  Thank you for taking the time to visit my website.  I hope it helps you to get to know me better and to understand why I care so deeply about our community.  As you look at my positions and qualifications, please take note of my wide range of experience.

Over the past 8 years, I have authored successful legislation that has improved transparency and openness in Howard County Government.  Further, despite being in the minority party on the council, I have fought off and reduced potential tax and fee increases.  These would have disproportionately impacted the residents of Western Howard County.

I believe it is important to elect a representative with a varied background of community service and professional experience. I am that person and I thank you for re-electing me in 2014.

I pledge that I continue to will work hard to maintain and improve our quality of life and do it all with the ever-present knowledge that I am elected to serve you, the hard-working taxpayers of Howard County. I further pledge that I will perform my duties in an open and fair manner where you, the citizen, will always be at the forefront of my decisions.
